The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Celestine Ketcha Courtes undertook an inspection visit to the construction sites of some urban mobility projects in Yaounde, last August 5, 2025. In the project described as Yaounde without potholes, Minister Celestine Ketcha Courtes visited construction sites in several quarters of the nation’s capital to measure the degree the projects are advancing.
Making a six months evaluation after the launching of these projects, Grave Yard Roundabout Ngousso-Total Ngousso where the Housing and Urban Development boss finished her inspection visit, the rehabilitation work was going on very smoothly. The Contractors could be seen on the rehabilitation works with some displacing hydraulic, telephone and water networks.

Despite some difficulties they encountered, they told reporters that work is advancing at a good rhythm.
At the Central Post Office roundabout, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development received a new rehabilitated road with the Minister saluting the quality of the work done on the spot.
The same situation was observed at Meumi Roundabout Bastos, as Celestine Ketcha Courtes instructed the Mayor of Yaounde I Council to sensitize inhabitants on the need to always keep their environment clean.
After several hours of non-stop visit to many construction sites, the member of government expressed satisfaction over the level of advancement of works she saw: ‘‘I am very happy to have seen all the projects we just visited within the framework of this operation in all serenity being put in place. These works will solve more than 100km of potholes in Yaounde’’, she said.
For a clean and beautiful town, the Minister called on the population to do everything possible not to drop dirt or grass on the ground but in dustbins.
