A five-man delegation of members of the Now Movement, led by the Coordinator of Now Movement for North West and South West Regions, Mudoh Walter, including the Coordinator of Now Movement for Meme Division, Ayaba Cletus, the Coordinator for the movement in Tiko, Martin Asueh and others, have ended a fact-finding mission in Douala, in a bid to identify the stakes on ground pertaining to the level of preparation by denizens of Douala IV for the upcoming presidential election in Cameroon. The recent event that was attended by stakeholders from all the nooks and crannies in Littoral Region gave birth to the Now Movement in Littoral.
Taking the rostrum, the Coordinator of Now Movement Douala IV, Ayamhs Amos welcomed the team and thanked them for choosing to come down to the grassroots.
On his part, Mudoh Walter thanked the organisers of the event for the successful turnout, and conveyed a message from the founder of Now Movement, Barrister Akere Muna and candidate for the upcoming presidential election in Cameroon. The message read thus; “I promise we shall together build our beloved country by promoting good Governance, transparency, accountability and the respect for the rule of law, and also ensure that those in power are answerable to the people”.

In an interactive session, the leader of Now Movement women’s wing, Madam Awi expressed joy that the movement is coming at the right time when Cameroonians are yearning for change.
Concerning voter registration, it was noted that many people are not registered because ELECAM officials don’t have the means to go register them and the people complain too that they don’t have the means to go register, especially paying FCFA 1000 from Bonaberi to Bonanjo to meet them. On the position of IDPs from North West and South West Regions of Cameroon, many whose identity cards and birth certificates can’t be traced because of the armed conflict, their fate hangs on. The same scenario is happening in Dibombari Sub Division of Mungo Division. The Now Movement special envoy noted that some political parties are assisting ELECAM officials to carry kit closer to the people.
