After storming Ndian Division during the pre-campaign period, to obtain ancestral blessings and sell his presidential vision to his kith and kin few days ago, the presidential hopeful for the Social Democratic Front SDF party, Hon Joshua Osih is making significant outings ahead of October 12. Against all odds, the fearless SDF Chieftain was in Bamenda, North West Region to officially launch his presidential bid, on Saturday, September 27. Osih had maintained that he will launch his campaign at the SDF’s place of birth and that has been attained.
It is no secret that the North West and South West regions are almost a no-go area for a number of candidates, (pertaining to the now nine-year armed conflict still ongoing in the regions) but to Osih, charity begins at home, with him feeling all calm and confident in areas his contemporaries dread.
The SDF Chairman was received with songs and dance in Bamenda, after which he held an open campaign rally, selling the party’s vision and stating why it is imperative for him to be entrusted with the destiny of the nation in the days ahead. From Bamenda, Osih’s next destination was Kumba in the South West region, which is also labelled a red zone in line with the ongoing armed conflict.

The electorate of Kumba, joined members and sympathisers of the SDF to endorse Hon Joshua Osih, presidential candidate of the 2025 presidential elections.
The endorsement was done during the SDF presidential election campaign that took place at the PS school field Fiango, Kumba, Sunday October 28, 2025.
Addressing members and sympathisers of the party in Kumba, Osih unveilled his manifesto which is “let’s rescue Cameroon together”, for SDF remains “The Solution” for Cameroon, which has been under the yoke of poverty, under development, and corruption for 43 years.
Osih disclosed that his first 100 days in office have have a multiplier effect, as he will handle the ongoing anglophone crisis, accelerate the implementation of a Federal system of government, create employment opportunities, guarantee free health care to every Cameroonian, guarantee free education and cause the amendment of the constitution, and the electoral code.
He disclosed that his choice for Kumba, for the second day of his campaign, wasn’ t an error. Apart from the fact that he is a K- Town Boy, Kumba happens to be the party’s Regional headquarters and a strong hold of the party in the South West Region. SDF presidential candidate insisted on the need to vote and protect the votes, shun lockdown calls and come out en masse on polling day and cast their votes with the pink ballot paper.
Welcoming the over 6000 members and sympathisers of SDF, the Kumba II Electoral District Chairman, Chia Promise, while decrying the fact that ELECAM is still feet dragging to issue voters cards to members of the party, assured the SDF presidential candidate that Kumba is ready to offer SDF to the candidate with 100% votes come October 12, 2025. The South West Regional Organising Secretary went ahead to assure the SDF presidential candidate that all has been put in place to ensure that all polling stations in the Region have polling agents.
The South West Regional Chairman of the Party, HRM Chief John Kona Makia said all is set for a resounding victory for the party come October 12, 2025.
The ground breaking campaign in Kumba started with a church service at PCC Kumba Mbeng where the SDF candidate and his delegation received benediction from God.
The SDF presidential candidate made a stop over in Konye, where he received traditional blessings.
The Kumba grand rally was punctuated with traditional and cultural dances.
