By an order, the President of the Republic of Cameroon relieved Police Commissioner Meh Kangha Michael of his duties.
The decree was issued on May 21, 2026. Meh Kangha Michael, who held the position of head of the public road control section at the Regional Unit of the Special Division for the Control of Northern Services, was relieved of his duties by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya for “serious misconduct”.

“Mr. MEH KANGHA Michael (Me 0599451U), police commissioner, head of the public highway control section at the Regional Unit of the Special Division for the Control of Northern Services, is, as of the date of signature of this order, relieved of his duties,” says the first article, without mentioning the reasons precisely.
The decree adds: “The Minister of Finance and the General Delegate for National Security are responsible, each in his or her own right, for the execution of this decree which will be registered, published according to the emergency procedure, and then inserted in the Official Journal in French and English.”
