The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front SDF party, Hon. Joshua Osih and his delegation rounded up their mission to the 2025 Bharat Summit in India, with an active participation in pushing the justice, equality cause.
During the summit which took place last April 25 to 26, 2025 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Osih had the privilege to present the opening statement. The SDF leader also engaged high-level multilateral and bilateral discussions, participated actively in strategic panels and chaired a session of African parties as well as participated in the Board Meeting of the Progressive Alliance. Recall the opposition leader doubles as Coordinator for Africa within the Progressive Alliance.

The event was organised by the Progressive Alliance and the Indian National Congress and it brought together about 450 delegates from over 100 countries. Reports hold that the 2025 Bharat Summit is the world’s largest gathering of Progressive leaders, party heads, policy makers, academics, corporate executives, civil society leaders as well as think tank representatives. The summit which also commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference (foundation for the Non-Aligned Movement), provided a platform for dialogue in key aspects like equality, economic justice, climate action, gender justice, multilateralism, pluralism etc.
The Hyderabad Resolution was adopted at the close of the summit, which focuses on delivering global justice. Key aspects raised in the resolution include among others; condemnation of terrorism in all forms, support for progressive movements facing repression, fair and equitable global order addressing injustices especially in the global South etc.
