The President of Elections Cameroon, ELECAM said in his preliminary statement that, ‘‘we are meeting today with renewed determination and a sense of purpose, guided by the republican duty entrusted to our institution by the legislator. As we enter this decisive and final stage of the electoral process, our responsibility remains clear: to ensure a credible, transparent, inclusive and peaceful election that is fully aligned with the Electoral Code and the democratic standards that our organisation aspires to uphold.’’

He reminded Electoral Board members that, ‘‘as you well know, this session shall be devoted to the examination of the progress report, submitted by the Director General of Elections regarding the final details and the state of preparedness for the Regional Council election of 30 November 2025. The report is expected to provide us with precise and timely updates on the logistical, material, technical and administrative arrangements that have been made so far and those yet to be completed. This will enable us to anticipate potential risks, make necessary adjustments in advance and, where applicable, ensure that all procedures comply rigorously with the provisions of the law and regulations in force.’’

Dr Enow Abrams Egbe declared that ‘‘the divisional branches of ELECAM are ready, the ballot papers and campaign documents have been produced, and the logistical arrangements are almost complete. I would therefore like to commend the entire strategic and implementation staff of ELECAM for their discipline and efficiency. This sense of duty and resilience, reinforces the credibility of the process and contributes to public trust in our Institution.’’

He concluded that they will oversee the composition of ten regional supervisory commissions in line with Section 263 of the Electoral Code.
