With litigations over at the Constitutional Council and the number of candidates narrowed down to 12 presidential aspirants, the elections management body, Elections Cameroon, ELECAM has engaged in the material organisation of the presidential election as stipulated by the Electoral Code according to its Article 122.

The Director General of Elections, at ELECAM, Dr Erik Essousse in a press release 000021 issued last August 6, 2025, urged the twelve candidates or their representatives, ‘‘to come and confirm their different emblems, colours and titles chosen for their ballot papers at the Directorate General of Elections (Room 216) not later than Monday, August 11, 2025 at 5pm prompt.’’
The Electoral Code equally prohibits any candidate for choosing emblems bearing in three colours; green, red and yellow.
After this material organisation, election campaigns will open according to Section 87,1 on the 15th day preceding the election and close at midnight on the eve of the election day.
Section 88 of the Electoral Code stipulates that, the Director General of Elections, shall for every candidate, party or list of candidates running in the election, print a number of ballot papers equivalent to the number of electors registered, plus one quarter thereof, as well as campaign ballot papers.
