Kumba City FC in comfortable position at 2025  national interpools

South West flagbearers at this year’s national interpools, Kumba City FC, are now in a comfortable position following their second outing in Yaounde. The team and pride of the South West Region, has continued its impressive run at the ongoing 2025 National Interpools in Yaoundé after edging Olympique de Meiganga 1-0 in a tightly contested encounter at the FECAFOOT Technical Center in Odza.

The lone goal of the match came late in the second half, courtesy of team captain, Gibel Pento Muh, who rose to the occasion and delivered when it mattered most. His decisive strike sealed another crucial victory for the “K-town Citizens,” leaving fans from Kumba and the wider region in high spirits.

This win takes Kumba City FC’s tally to six points, following their earlier 3-1 triumph over Diamant FC of Yagoua. The result further cements the club’s determination to push for qualification to the Elite Two championship, a dream the team and its supporters have long nurtured.

Speaking after the match, fans and officials alike hailed the resilience and fighting spirit of the boys, who despite facing stiff opposition, kept their composure until the final whistle.

Kumba City FC will next face Sable FC on Monday, September 8, 2025, in what promises to be another decisive clash for the South West representatives.

It should be recalled that the draw for the 2025 National Interpools was conducted at the headquarters of the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT, setting the stage for the highly anticipated competition that kicked off on Monday, September 1, 2025  to run for two weeks.

According to the fixtures, teams have been split into two groups of five, with matches scheduled at the FECAFOOT Technical Center in Odza and the CAF Technical Center in Mbankomo.
