Nine teams have so far qualified for the round of 16, in the ongoing Limbe City Council Inter-quarter football tournament. They include; Mbende Vipers FC, Cassava Farms FC in Pool A, Bonadikombo FC, Bota Ports FC in Pool B, Home Boys FC, James Town FC and Mokunda FC in Pool C, Lions of Lower Busumbu and Clerks quarter in Pool D.
Both Jamestown and Mokunda sealed their spots after their one all tie game in Pool C on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
They both advanced with 7 points each, with each team having a game to end the first phase of the tournament. On their part, Bota Ports booked their ticket after edging Makoka by 1:0. Bota Ports now have 7 points in Pool B with two remaining matches against Bonadikombo FC and Cold Source.

Limbe City Council inter-quarter enters into day 5 matches on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 with the following matches on the table: Mawoh rising star FC vs Church street FC, Victorious Youth FC Ambas Bay Vs Motowoh United FC, Bonadikombo FC vs Makoka FC.
It should be noted that tournament continues to gain attraction from fans and it serves as a means for petty business people to make huge sales.
Speaking to The SUN, Stephanie Nana said; “I make gains of FCFA 10, 000 a day for the sale of soft drinks and water at the field. I think this initiative is a good move by Limbe City Council ( LCC) under the tutelage of Limbe City Major, Paul Efome L.M Ngale”.
She urged other business persons to make good use of this advantage offered by LCC and sell their products and equally football lovers to come and watch champagne football.
