Innovation this year will be to introduce Artificial Intelligence as helper of the socio-economic integration of Cameroonian youths.

The Youth Affairs and Civic Education boss explained that, ‘‘this first meeting, extended to all stakeholders and held one month ahead of the Youth Connekt Cameroon Convention, marks a major turning point in the preparation leading up to its 2025 edition. It reflects the willingness to boost synergy between actions more than ever before, in order to align all stakeholders around a common understanding of the challenges and objectives at stake.’’

He said ‘‘the purpose of this meeting is to provide clarity on the strategic aspects of the event, gather constructive contributions, and capitalise on proposals to ensure smooth and effective implementation. We must not therefore, forget that the Youth Connekt Cameroon Convention has to remain a space for promoting initiatives and products developed by young beneficiaries of public and private projects, an opportunity platform for young entrepreneurs, and a lever for appropriating the strategy of integrating young businesses into the dynamics of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).’’

He said, “I strongly hope therefore, that your respective expertise will pave the way for a successful and impactful event that will bring Cameroonian youth together.”

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education reminded that the programme’s objective is to expedite young people’s access to opportunities and to bring the Programme in line with the Youth Employment Promotion Special Plan announced by the Head of State in his swearing-in speech.
