Orange Max it App and Mobile News

Orange continues to promote its all-in-one super app, Max it, as the central platform for services including airtime and internet top-ups, money transfers, bill payments, and entertainment content. The company is actively encouraging customers to use the app for a variety of services, with a previous promotion offering 100% free access to local news content via the “Orange Mobile News” feature on the Max it app (a promotion that ran from May to June 2025).

The phrase “your favourite newspaper are just clicks away on max it” is part of Orange’s ongoing marketing to promote the digital availability of local press through the Max it app, a service launched to address the challenges of newspaper digitization in the country.
Network Quality and Service
A key topic in October 2025 has been the quality of telecommunications services provided by Orange and its main competitor, MTN. Following numerous customer complaints about network disruptions, call interruptions, and unstable internet, the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART) held meetings with both operators early in the month.
As a result, Orange Cameroun and MTN have announced a joint public information campaign, set to begin in late October and run into November, to explain the technical causes of these disruptions and ongoing network upgrades to the public.
Business and Financial Performance
Despite network challenges, Orange Cameroun is performing strongly financially. Reports published in the third quarter of 2025 indicate that the company’s revenue for the first semester of 2025 reached approximately 202.7 billion FCFA, a significant increase of 14.9% compared to the same period in 2024. This growth positions Orange Cameroun as one of the fastest-growing and strategically important subsidiaries within the Orange Group in Africa.
