A violent storm which occurred on Monday, April 20, 2026, destroyed part of Pamol Plantations’ factory, hospital buildings, workers’ houses and part of the administrative office at Ndian Estate in Bulu. The incident which resulted in huge material damages, did not claim any human life fortunately.

Upon receiving the disturbing information of the incident, the proactive General Manager GM of the company, Mbile Tapea Solomon, immediately jetted to the scene with his management team and technicians, accompanied by the Senior Divisional Officer for Ndian, Gilbert Baldena to evaluate the level of damages.
After carefully observing the damages done, the GM, Tapea Mbile Solomon explained that sporadic measures have been taken to provide immediate solutions concerning the houses of the workers in particular and the hospital and factory in general. ‘’We have taken measures to see we remedy the situation; we have proritised the houses of the workers, their wellbeing is very important to us’’ Mbile assured. He also stated that, ‘’The hospital, the factory, part of the administrative office even the weigh station will equally be attended to’’, he added.

Pamol GM announced that some materials have already been bought to Mundemba to begin repairs on the houses of workers. The workers have saluted the proactive intervention of the general manager and plead with government to support the quick intervention by Pamol Management.
Unofficial sources estimate the damages to be worth millions of FCFA.
The incident has added to the hardships of the company, where Pamol plantations is still sagging to recover from the devastating effects of the socio-political crisis in the North West and South West Regions, for close to a decade now.
