Nfon Mukete IV arms Kumba populace against COVID-19

The Paramount ruler-designate of the Bafaws and Nfon of Kumba, HRM Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko has extended his love and concern for his people through the donation of some items to fight against the coronavirus in Kumba and Bafaw villages.
The first outing of the Nfon since he succeeded his father, Nfon V.E. Mukete on March 21, 2020 as the new Paramount ruler of the Bafaws and Nfon of Kumba, saw the handing over of some water points to the three Sub-Divisional Councils, the Kumba City Council, all quarters in Kumba through their quarter heads and all Bafaw villages through their chiefs.
The outing of the fourth Nfon took place on April 19, 2020 at the Nfon’s Palace in Kumba, bringing together the three Mayors and City Mayor of the Kumba, all quarter heads of the Kumba municipality, Chiefs of Bafaw villages as well as Councillors of the Bafaw Traditional Council.

Addressing his collaborators for the first time, Nfon Mukete IV called on them to join efforts to develop Kumba for the good of all. The Nfon added that his reign is a new dawn giving the developmental projects that will be carried out in his chiefdom.
The Paramount Ruler maintained that only proper hygiene like washing of hands regularly, keeping environments clean and observing all measures put in place by the government can combat the spread of the coronavirus.
He also frowned at the quarter heads and councillors who have not been attending meetings and noted that he will not condole with any act of laxity and laziness during his reign.
The Secretary General of the Quarter Heads, Wilson Ekonde lauded the initiative of the Paramount Ruler and assured him that they are going to make good use of the items put at their disposal. He also pledged their unflinching support to the Nfon during his stay at the throne.
The Mayor of the Kumba I Council, Barrister Moses Eseme Esembe thanked the Nfon for his kind gesture. He prayed that they will continue to work in close collaboration to fight against the virus in the Kumba municipality.
