Celebrated under the theme, “Let us prepare to further consolidate the strength and position of the party behind the National President,” the anniversary brought together party executives, militants, sympathizers, youth and women’s wings, all united around messages of resilience, peace and preparation for future political contests. The event was presided over by the CPDM Fako II Section President, Honourable Findi Stanley Mokondo, who used the occasion to remind militants of the party’s long-standing political journey and its continued relevance in Muyuka despite the challenges the subdivision has experienced over the years.

Addressing party supporters, Honourable Findi Stanley Mokondo described the anniversary not merely as a ceremonial gathering but as an important moment of reflection on the party’s achievements and direction. He emphasized that for more than four decades, the CPDM has remained a symbol of peace, unity and development in Cameroon, particularly in Muyuka where security and socio-political challenges have tested the resilience of the population.

He praised militants for what he termed their courage and determination, especially in difficult times, noting that the party had continued to register electoral victories even under complex circumstances. According to him, the recent presidential election was one of the strongest demonstrations of the party’s rooted presence in Muyuka, where militants remained mobilized and committed to securing victory for the CPDM.

The Section President stressed that the repeated electoral successes of the CPDM are proof of the trust the population continues to place in the party. He noted that regardless of whether circumstances are difficult or peaceful, the party’s ability to emerge victorious in elections reflects its strong political foundation and national appeal.

He also called on militants to understand that belonging to the CPDM goes beyond wearing party uniforms, insisting that discipline, service to the people and commitment to peace must define every militant. Hon. Findi urged supporters to continue promoting social cohesion and development in Muyuka while encouraging young people to reject violence and embrace constructive engagement for the future of the subdivision.

Speaking to the press after the ceremony, Hon. Findi Stanley Mokondo said Muyuka had every reason to celebrate, particularly because the subdivision had remained resilient in preserving key sectors such as health, education and road infrastructure despite the crisis that has affected parts of the region. He described the anniversary as both a celebration of achievements and a strategic moment of political reflection, especially as the country moves into another important electoral cycle. The Member of Parliament pointed out that the current year and the next are politically significant, requiring militants to remain fully prepared and visible on the ground. According to him, the anniversary served as a strong signal that CPDM structures in Fako II remain functional, vibrant and ready to mobilize massively for upcoming elections at all levels.

The youth wing of the party also reaffirmed its commitment during the celebration. YCPDM Section President for Fako II – Muyuka, Oscar Akale Mukete, thanked young militants for their constant participation in party activities and encouraged them to remain attentive to the political orientation provided by senior party leadership. He described the CPDM as more than just a political organization, saying its existence over 41 years has coincided with important development strides in Cameroon. He urged the youth to prepare mentally and politically for forthcoming electoral responsibilities.

Women also played a prominent role during the anniversary, with WCPDM Section President, Enjema Adeline highlighting the strategic importance of women in sustaining the strength of the party in Muyuka. She described women as the foundation of both the family and the political structure, noting that their visible participation during the event was evidence of their commitment to party growth.

She further praised the leadership of President Paul Biya for opening more opportunities for women in public service and governance over the years, adding that women remain hopeful for even greater inclusion in national leadership in the future. She encouraged female militants to remain steadfast, assuring them that their dedication to the party would continue to bear fruit.

The celebration ended with the adoption of a motion of support by militants, sympathizers and supporters of CPDM Fako II Muyuka. In the motion, participants reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to President Paul Biya, praised his leadership in maintaining peace, stability and national unity, and pledged continued mobilization behind the ideals of peace, discipline and democracy.

They also condemned violence, division and manipulation, while calling on the population of Muyuka to resist forces that threaten social cohesion and harmonious coexistence. The militants finally committed themselves to strengthening party structures in the subdivision and supporting the implementation of directives from the party’s national leadership.

The 41st anniversary celebration in Muyuka thus ended not only as a commemoration of the CPDM’s history, but as a renewed declaration of political readiness, unity and determination ahead of future national engagements.
