The city of Dschang is in shock after the discovery on May 21 of the lifeless body of Abdoulai Dzekem, a teacher at Fomba Glorious Bilingual Nursery and Primary School, the day after the celebrations of the National Day of May 20 in Cameroon.
The deceased, identified as Mr. Abdoulai Dzekem, a teacher at Fomba Glorious Bilingual Nursery and Primary School, was found dead in a gutter behind the Luna Restaurant on the morning of May 21. And according to videos seen by MMI News, several residents tried to remove his body from the gutter under the gaze of many curious onlookers, in an atmosphere mixing stupor and emotion.

According to several testimonies relayed by our sources, the teacher had participated in the festivities marking the national holiday the previous evening before his disappearance was reported.
Very quickly, the announcement of his death caused strong emotion within the educational community and among the nationals of the department of Noni as well as the village of Dom, where he was particularly appreciated.
Many tributes published on social networks describe a humble, respected man deeply committed to the education of young people, several former students of whom salute “one of the best mathematics teachers of his generation”.
Those who knew him at the Nkor public school also remember a passionate teacher who was close to his students, affectionately nicknamed “Bobo”.
For the time being, the exact causes of his death are still unknown. And no communication has yet been made by the administrative or security authorities of Dschang concerning this tragedy, let alone the opening of a possible investigation.
