The City Mayor of Limbe, Dr. Paul Efome L.M. Ngale is unwavering in the development and transportation of the seaside resort town. Amidst challenging times, the Mayor’s efforts were the highlight of the first ordinary council session to examine and adopt the Administrative, Management and Stores Accounts of the Limbe City Council, for the 2025 Financial Year.
The Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Engelbert Viang Mekala, Supervisory Authority of Councils in Fako Division, was represented during the session by the First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Awah Dean at the session which took place last April 10, 2026.

Welcoming the population as he chaired the session, the City Mayor to the Limbe City Council, Dr. Paul Efome Lisombe Mbole Ngale explained that the Limbe City Council in the 2025 Financial year, voted a budget of Seven Billion (7,000,000,000) FCFA balanced in both income and expenditure.
He said total revenue collected stood at Three Billion Four Hundred and Twenty Five Million, Five Hundred and Fifty One Thousand, Four Hundred and Ninety Eight (3,425,551,498) CFA Francs, giving a percentage of 48.94.
The Limbe City Council boss applauded the steady progress made in the collection of revenue from 2023 despite challenges faced by the City Council.
Equally, all 13 deliberations presented during the session that brought together Service heads, Regional Councillors, Traditional and Religious Heads, Quarter heads in the Limbe Municipality among others, were adopted.
-Good 2025 report, ongoing projects
Dr. Paul Efome Lisombe Mbole Ngale cited projects carried out in 2025 including the construction of several Lockup stores in the Limbe markets; advanced work in the second phase of the Limbe New Town Market, where a parking lot and water supply system are fully operational; the successful dredging of portions of the Jengele River; clearance of the firefighting truck from the Douala Port; payment of debts owed service partners and Council staff; rehabilitation of earth roads and other public space; construction of culverts, among others.
The City Mayor equally talked about ongoing development projects in the city including the outcome of studies for the second access road to Limbe linking Limbe-Tiko-Bimbia-Man O’ War Bay, advanced talks with Turkish and Chinese Firms to transform waste into biogas, fertilizers and other products as well as the onward distribution of trash bins to households in Limbe in the days ahead that will go a long way to address the issue of waste disposal in the municipality..
The Limbe City Mayor also announced the ongoing project thanks to a partnership between the Limbe City Council and the National Employment Fund for the construction of over 75,000 pavement bricks by some youths, with the entrance to the new market, from Police Barracks, being the first stretch to be done.
He expressed delight that the Four Hundred Million (400,000,000) FCFA presidential grant to the city of Limbe will permit the dredging of waterways within the municipality, construct adequate culverts to ease water canalization on the major streets and build free garbage collection points equipped with metallic trash bins.
The City Mayor equally expressed joy that the mega project – the Mondoli-Limbe Smart City Project, to be enjoyed by the population of Limbe, was endorsed by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Doctor Joseph Dion Ngute.
He was overjoyed that this futuristic ecotourism project, worth about Five Hundred Billion (500,000,000,000) FCFA shall create a modern space, equipped with hotels and more.
The mayor concluded with the main mission of the Limbe City Council to the municipality which he said, is the wellbeing of the population and the development of the municipality.
The representative of the SDO for Fako, Awa Dean, First Assistant SDO applauded the City Mayor and his team for working tirelessly to improve living conditions and livelihoods of the population of Limbe. He beckoned on them not to relent in making the city of Limbe stand out tall and continue growing from strength to strength.
A motion of support was addressed to the Head of State, President Paul Biya by City Councillors, for his dedicated stewardship at the helm of State affairs.
