Some 5000 young entrepreneurs from 54 African countries are to attend the 5th Forum of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), slated for July 26 and 27 in Abuja, Nigeria.
According to our sources of the UBA Cameroon Communications desk in Douala, the forum which is expected to have key speakers such as the Presidents of Senegal and Rwanda, His Excellencies Macky Sall and Paul Kagami respectively, the forum is organised and hosted by the founder of the Foundation, Tony Elumelu, who is also Founder and Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (U.B.A.) and Heirs Holdings.
The keynote speakers from the above mentioned countries and the other statesmen, business magnates and policymakers will converge with a younger generation of Africa’s entrepreneurs in a very special opportunity provided to exchange experiences, map out new strategies and acquaint themselves with sound expert testimonies and training on how to speed up the rejuvenation of the continent’s economic landscape, from the present stage to that of a more interactive and technologically advanced mindset.
Created to economically empower young African entrepreneurs, this maiden hosting in Abuja is meant to end the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme which has trained and sponsored 10.000 young entrepreneurs in a decade, The SUN learnt. It should be noted that this year’s TEF Programme extracted over 3000 participants weeded from 216 000 applicants across Africa.
