Known for his kindness to humanity, Servant of God, Senior Apostle John Chi has put smiles on the faces of physically challenged persons by giving them financial and material assistance ranging from bags of rice, bicycles, wheel chairs, FCFA 2.5 Million and a lot more.
The gesture was welcomed by the beneficiaries who thanked God Almighty for using the man of God as an instrument of reaching out to them in their time of need. The servant of God carried out the humanitarian gesture this Thursday September 26 2024 during the celebration of his 48th birthday at the Ark of God’s Covenant Ministry Buea.
Hundreds of Christians, foreigners, administrative authorities, religious partners and traditional leaders turned out massively to celebrate the Servant of God.
In his message, Apostle John Chi stressed on showing love through acts of giving to the needy. He spoke about the true meaning of life wherein he said “it is about giving back, showing gratitude to God by being a blessing to others”. He promised that this was just the beginning as he is going to continue supporting the vulnerable/needy persons in the society.
Talking to the press, the servant of God said, “We begin to succeed with our lives when the problems of other people matter to us. We are created to make a tangible contribution in the life of someone in need. So I feel happy, I find joy when I see the less-privileged, the physically challenged, widows, widowers happy. It is my desire to put quality smiles on their faces. I am happy that they have been blessed today and they are a blessing to us as well. I am here to encourage them that they should not lose hope. No one is hopeless whose hope is in God. God is their defender; provider and he will meet them at the point of their need”.
“There is no love that doesn’t express itself in giving. Giving offers us an opportunity to reshape our destiny. When you give, you create yourself a purse which will never grow old, treasures in heaven that do not fail. It is more blessed to give than to receive. When we give, we give to please God and not man. We are one another’s strength. We may not be equally gifted but God has designed things in such a way that everyone has some strength to contribute to the wellbeing of our fellow brothers. It is therefore very important and our responsibility to give to the less privileged, the needy and the vulnerable” The servant of God, Apostle John Chi noted.
The birthday celebration witnessed the presence of the Paramount Chief of Buea, Chief Dr. Robert Esuka Endeley who called the Ark of God a beacon of hope. He exhorted the servant of God not just for his humanitarian acts and for touching the lives of many but for his contribution to the development of the town of Buea.
Highlight of the celebration was the cutting of birthday cake, designed with angels and the Apostle’s image. There was equally a procession by the college of pastors, mothers of the church, nursing mothers etc who chanted songs of praise and jubilant birthday hymns celebrating the life of a man who has been and remains a blessing to them.
