CMF members challenged to restore peace in the nation

Members of the Christians Men Fellowship, CMF of the Presbyterian Church Down Beach joined their peers nationwide to celebrate the 36th edition of their annual rally on Sunday December 10, 2017 under the theme “Christ is coming with your pay”
Fako South presbytery gathered at PC Beach to celebrate the day with a call to uphold the truth to restore peace in Cameroon during this period of unrest in the two English speaking regions.
The call was made by the representative of the National Secretary, HRH Humphrey Mosenge Tande who said the repercussions of all the happenings in the North West and South West region are far reaching and devastating in all dimensions.

According to HRH Humphrey Mosenge “Some who had hoped that the church will play it’s prophetic role by maintaining a critical distance from the state have openly doubted the credibility of the church’s voice amidst the crisis. Some even question whether God is on the side of the church or the nation”
He however caledl on the Christians to hold onto Jesus Christ’s firm foundation which is everlasting and not deceitful.
” We live at a time when there is so much uncertainty, no one knows what the next day holds. Cameroonians of English extraction are confronted by the harsh reality of being a dispossessed people in a union they themselves constructed” he added.

In the domain of growth, CMF is now counting 86 CMF groups with 20,616 members. Members were urged to emulate minor prophets like Obadiah, Nahum and Haggai.
Earlier at the event, Rev. Foncham Ezekiel, drawing from the scripture, I Thessalonians 5:1-11, told the Christians to be watchful and be on the alert with the happening around.
He however added that the Christians should have faith in God that evil days and times of weakness will come and pass, while encouraging them to love one another and have reverence for life and respect for one another.
On his part the Presbytery President for Fako South, Mayor Rodanny Mokako Mbua told the Christians to go out and win more souls for the Lord, while challenging them to improve in their various parishes he also called on them not to relent in their prayers for the nation.
The event was characterized by craft exhibition, quiz, evangelistic procession, signing competition among others.
