Born from a below average family in Mulang, outskirts of Bamenda, Delly lost both parents at a very tender age and was left to cater for herself and her siblings. Life was not all rosy for her – life for her was rough and hard. Amidst the storms, she kept her head above the waters.
Delly forged her way through life and school and is today a proud holder of a dual Master’s Degree in Economics and Corporate Finance.
When asked where her passion for the underprivileged stems from, she had this to say, “I have walked their walk, lived their lives and understand them better. I support them out of love and experiences I have had.”
She says her biggest motivation is the smiles she puts on the faces of the have-nots. She finds strength in the grace of God, stating as it were that she would have been nothing without God’s unfading grace.

Though shy from childhood, Delly nursed plenty of admiration for journalists as she watched TV and listened to radio. She wanted to be like them but was timid. Many are those who laughed at her each time there was a competition.
Given that she grew up in a predominantly pidgin-speaking environment, the English language was a thorn in her flesh. This would be overcome by her new found love for reading books and watching English movies.
Upon remembering her first days in front of a crowd, Delly laughs, recounting what she says were very difficult and challenging moments. Today, Delly the media personality has bagged home many awards in varied walks of life.
