The dressing in our churches today is a cause for concern, as some people; especially youths have failed to distinguish the church house from night clubs and snack bars.
We find girls with very tight and body-hugging dresses that leave nothing to the imagination, others resort to very short dresses or dresses that even show a lot of skin; this might be a little distracting to fellow church members or even the priest.
Dress code is a familiar and frequently used term. It means people should wear different dresses matching to different occasions and environment.
The first thing to note on somebody’s dress for church is decency! When we talk of decency, it does not mean that one should put on a big gown or wrap their hair with a big headscarf .But ones dress should be soothing, modest and attractive.
Care should be taken to cover the chest, and other sensitive parts that might provoke unpleasant reactions or send a wrong message to others.
Your dressing should satisfy the desired norms of decency.
“Don’t forget your dressing determines who you are”.
