Nalova Lyonga, new Turkish Ambassador discuss cooperation avenues

The newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon, His Excellency Volkan Oskiper has discussed areas of possible collaboration with Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga during a courtesy visit he paid last January 27, 2025 in her cabinet in Yaounde.

Speaking during the closed curtains audience, Ambassador Volkan Oskiper said he came to introduce himself to the Secondary Education boss and to have an exchange with the Minister for the possible establishment of collaboration ties.

This audience was an opportunity for the newly posted Turkish diplomat to Cameroon and the Secondary Education Minister to review the longstanding cooperation which has been existing between Ankara and Yaounde in the Secondary Education subsector.

During their exchange, Professor Nalova Lyonga expressed her zeal towards the development of Technical and Vocational Secondary Education. She equally mentioned the reinforcement of the digitalisation of education as the core priorities of the Ministry, owing to the paramount role of these sectors in fostering Cameroon’s drive towards emergence by 2035.

H.E. Volkan Oskiper reassured Professor Nalova Lyonga of his country’s unwavering support in advancing the Cameroon Secondary Education subsector.

It is worth recalling that, it was last January 8, 2025 that the newly posted Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon presented the figurative copies of his letters of credence to the Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella.
